Competition:
Reading the Head -
In many cases there is no one correct answer. However, we need to justify our choice with solid reasons and clear thinking.
Here is a collection taken from actual situations in recent games. Your task is to decide on how you will play your wood.
There are two parts to the quiz: but the same head is presented to you (any other woods have gone off the green!):-
-
You are next to play, but your opposition have the last wood
-
You are playing the last wood in the end
You have to decide what you are going to do - and why.
Possibly the easiest way to complete the quiz is to download the original paper from here and draw the path you think your wood should take - then describe briefly why you have chosen this path.
Entries to John Bennett before 1st July, please.
