COMPETITIONS - 2008

COMPETITION RULES - 2008
1. The first named shall be called the CHALLENGER.
2. The second named shall be called the OPPONENT.
3. The CHALLENGER, at least seven days before the deadline, shall offer the OPPONENT three dates for playing the round. Each date must be within the time allowed.
4. The OPPONENT shall, within two days, accept one of the dates offered.
5. If the OPPONENT does not accept one of the dates offered, the round will be forfeited to the CHALLENGER.
6. If the CHALLENGER has not offered three dates seven days before the deadline, the OPPONENT may apply to the Secretary to have a date stipulated. (This is an option that may be used or not.)
7. If the CHALLENGER does not accept the stipulated date in 6 above, or has not offered three dates as in 3 above, the round will be forfeited to the OPPONENT.
8. The CHALLENGER shall supply a competent MARKER - or may ask the Secretary to nominate one, giving at least three day's notice. The CHALLENGER shall book a rink. The RINK to be used will be decided on the day by the drawing of numbers from those rinks made available.
9. All matches shall be played in full accordance with the Laws of the EBA or EBF according to the competition.
10. The CLOSING DATE for each Round must be adhered to with no exceptions made for any reason whatsoever. This means that arrangements should be made to take this Rule into account.
11. It is a condition of entry that a Competitor must be available to play on Finals Day.
12. In the event of any dispute, the decision of the Competition Committee shall be final and binding.
