Heckington & District Bowls Club was founded circa 1922, so is very nearly 100 years old. Most of our members, however, are a little younger than that. One of the great things about lawn bowls is that it is one of relatively few physical sports that can be played to a reasonable level by just about anyone, of any age. Whether you want to play competitively, just for fun or to keep you fit and active, the club can cater for you.
Apart from being home to a thriving bowls club, Heckington is renowned for it’s friendly, positive, community spirit, making Heckington and bowls the perfect combination. The club has its own club room and is located in beautiful surroundings close to the village green and historic St Andrew’s Church. With a busy social and sporting programme, the Club welcomes social members. So even if you don’t play bowls, enjoy watching or just want to make new friends, the club has something for you.
You’re welcome to visit the club before you decide about joining. Just drop in and introduce yourself or get in touch with one of the committee members. Another great way to make contact is to join our Facebook page.
Just click on the Facebook link at the bottom of the page and ask to join the group – you don’t have to be a member of the club.
We hope to see you soon!
